if you guys have been on orkut or facebook or on any of those hundreds of social networking sites for as long as i have been,then losing interest in these sites is a common phenomenon.
In 2006 i received my invitation to join orkut! after realising that half my school was there i opened my account!! orkut retained my interest until i was in school! thereafter, orkut has been nothing but boring!
yesterday i was listening to the radio and i was very impressed by one of the things that i heard !!
" we guys suffer from a disease and that is the curiosity to know what is happening in one's life!! we guys are so keen on satisfying our gossiping needs that we shamelessly open someone's scrapbook and start going through his scraps! who is he dating? is he still in love with his ex? has he started dating again!! two of my classmates are talking..what are they chatting about?"
i couldnt agree more!! i do it and i am sure everybody does!! here is an arguement that most people can think of .! A social nteworking site is an open forum!! we have every right to see what we want if we can!!
but guys dont you think it reflects our insecurities !!? i think it sure does!!
at times i feel irritated at the status messages i see! everybody comes up with a new philosophy of living life!! i seriously feel status messages would have more credilbility if people write truly what they feel and not just copying quotable quotes from another website!!
i do not like to talk to some people who are in my list!! many a times i have thought of deleting my account!! but i cant do it! out of 133 friends i have , there are certain people i do not want to lose touch with!!these sites may have their flaws!! but they are a great way of being in the 'social network'

growing older.....

its holiday season....!! aint have much to do....so i thought why not get back to my old habit..writing!
guys! i passed out of school roughly an year and and a half ago....!since then i have remained in touch with a few of my teachers,a few of my juniors as well!! now they have passed out as well!
its surreal!! time is running at a ridiculous rate!! it is at this time that i have realized that we went to college for just 6 months and our first year was over...!
!so our entire college life gets wrapped up in less than 2 years!! on paper though its for 3 years!!
its saddens me up!! this is our golden phase of life...!! i expect it to pass a little slower..! each and every friend of mine had some plan or the other for the first year...!! but the year got over before even the blink of an eye...!! "the one where they all turn thirty". well guys this is an episode of one my favorite tv serials "friends" ! the title says it all... all the characters kept cursing time and god and kept asking why is he doing it to them! why are all turning thirty so quickly!
though i have not turned thirty!! bt i am still asking"why god?why?"
it may sound very silly! bt the situation of all my close college friends is the same...!!! my friends and i still talk about of what could have been had we been in some other college!! and what we have got in our college!! clearly our admission fever is not yet over..!!and its already time for new admissions!!

our youth has some serious talent

i honestly think that god had his part to play in my admission in kirori mal college!! it was not pretty long ago wen i found out that kmc has made it mark in extra co-curricular activities!!
just about a couple of months ago we had this freshers talent show where each and every society (drama ,music and dance!! we hav a debating society as well!! but only the former 3 partcipated)
showcased its talent!!
it kicked off with the music society!! friends i was 'dumstruck'!! ya thats the word!!i had gone in the audi with not many expectations! may be that added to the amazement!!once i was in there!! there was no going back!! it was great to see such talented singers! or should i say rockstars!!
the dance society also came out with some brilliant performances!! not to forget the gags the drama society came out with!!
i have been on stage before!!but there is a big difference between a school stage and a college stage!!in school you can see many familier faces from the stage !! but in college !! it takes guts to perform in front of an audience that can boo you out of the building if you go wrong!!well thats wat i feel!!
i would also like to say that i m pretty sure that there are equally talented guys elsewhere as well!! and i would like to wish them all the very best for their careers!!
my thinking about makin a career has changed drastically after coming to college!! all thanks to our talented youth!!

complexity of emotions

well for me the last 4 months have seen a lot of changes!! they have been good !! they have been bad!! a blend actually!! july was good ! in terms of the excitement i had for going into college! it was bad for all my school friends were separating from me!! !! i started feeling as i was being robbed by life!! n i couldnt do a damn thing about it! it was like i wanted it but i didnt want it!!

a couple of days ago i forgot to wish happy bday to one of my very good school friends! yesterday wen it finally occured to me!! i js could not gather the guts to call her up!! but when i called her!! i found her pretty okay with it!! she said no big deal!!i was surprised coz i had expected that she would be upset!!and would scold me!!

well initially i dint want her to be upset about it!! but by the end of the day i kept wondering why wasnt she upset about it!!
i guess i did not get a fair chance to apologise to her!! so what better way to publicly apologise!! i m very sorry!!

the good old school days

sometimes i wonder about the changes that time has brought with it!! sitting alone sometimes i go back in time and try to relive those days!! it was roughly when i was 10 in 4rth std or 5th may be!! the silly games i used to play with my friends in recess time!! running all the time!! (its the only thing i remember about recess).after coming back home!! i had only one thing to do! no prizes for guessing!! WATCH CARTOON NETWORK ALL DAY!! as far as my memory serves me i still remember the schedules!! (the mask at 2 30 pm followed by the flintstones at 3 !! then the adams family at 3 30!! and then scooby and scrapy do at 4!! etc etc!! i can go on till 8 in the evening)!! none of these shows air now on cn!!
this is one of the few special memories that i have of my childhood!! hell ya!! it was a carefree life!! i cant explain in words how insanely i want to relive that time again!!
the most exciting of all years in school was i guess when i was in 9th!!new teachers!! new friends!! though everything was new!! but i dint resist the change!! we did some crazy stuff in the class while the teacher still taught!!not to forget that it was this year that gave me my best friends!!
when i recollect all the memories , i go through a strange feeling!! it feels as if i passed out of scul ages ago!! although it has been hardly an year!!
